AMEREX ACQUIRES CHILDREN’S OUTERWEAR AND SWIMWEAR DIVISIONS OF SAMARA INCLUDING THE LICENSING AGREEMENTS FOR OSHKOSH B’GOSH AND CARTERS

     New York, NY -- Amerex Group LLC, one of the largest U.S. manufacturers of outerwear for men, women and children, has acquired the children’s swimwear and outerwear divisions of Samara Brothers LLC and with it, signed an agreement with Atlanta-based apparel maker Carter’s, Inc. to produce infant, boys’ and girls’ swimwear and outerwear under the Carter’s and OshKosh B’Gosh labels. The Carter’s and OshKosh swimwear and Carter’s outerwear collections will debut at retail for Spring 2009 and will augment Amerex’s existing offerings under a multitude of licensed and proprietary brands,

     Targeted to major department stores, OshKosh and Carter’s are two of the oldest, largest, and most-recognized branded marketers of baby and young children's apparel in the U.S. Both new collections will be shown at Amerex’s 512 Seventh Avenue, NYC showroom.

     Amerex’s has held the London Fog® license for kid’s outerwear since 1995 and also offers kid’s outerwear under the OshKosh B’Gosh® and Mudd® licensed brands and the WeatherTamer® and 1 Madison® proprietary brands.

     Amerex, which was founded in 1932, designs, manufactures and markets apparel for men, women and children to virtually all channels of distribution under a variety of licensed, proprietary and private label brands. The company is the Jones New York® licensee for ladies’ outerwear and rainwear and also offers ladies’ outerwear under the 1 Madison® and WeatherTamer® proprietary brands. Men’s outerwear brands under the Amerex umbrella include the Wrangler Hero® licensed brand and the WeatherTamer® proprietary brand. Amerex also holds a men’s sportswear license under the Adolfo® brand.
